Please complete our referral form to ensure your vet is happy for treatment to proceed, and take a moment to review our terms and conditions before your appointment.

Once we’ve received and reviewed the necessary paperwork, we’ll be in touch to arrange an appointment at a time that suits you.

Referrals

Terms and Conditions

Prior to treatment, we require a completed veterinary referral form, in line with the Veterinary Surgeons Act. This ensures we have your vet’s consent to proceed and allows us to access relevant clinical history and diagnostic information that may influence your horse’s treatment. It also enables effective two-way communication, so we can share our findings and work collaboratively with your vet to provide a truly multidisciplinary approach to your horse’s care.

Please take a moment to read through our Terms and Conditions. You'll find important information about what to expect from your appointment, our commitments to you, and what we ask in return. Details of our cancellation policy are also included, with a brief summary further down the page.

Appointment Types

Initial appointments typically last around 2 hours, with follow-up sessions approximately 1.5 hours. Electrotherapy sessions are usually 1 hour, but must be preceded by an initial assessment.

Physiotherapy at RPM Equine

Physiotherapy sessions at our yard provide a calm, professional environment where your horse can receive focused, uninterrupted care. With access to our facilities, we can demonstrate in-hand and ridden exercises, monitor progress closely, and adapt the programme as your horse develops. This supportive setting allows us to deliver the highest standard of care, whether for rehabilitation, performance optimisation, or ongoing management.

Rehabilitation Plans

We work closely with your vet to design structured, progressive exercise and management plans tailored to your horse’s specific needs. Each programme supports safe recovery, addresses weaknesses and imbalances, and includes regular reassessment to ensure steady, effective progress back to full function or performance

Please note: If your horse is currently lame or has an undiagnosed lameness or condition, we are unable to proceed with veterinary physiotherapy until a veterinary diagnosis has been made. This ensures that treatment is appropriate, safe, and aligned with your horse’s clinical needs.

Cancellation Policy: We kindly require at least 48 hours’ notice for any cancellations, whether your appointment is on-site at RPM Equine or at your yard. This allows us to offer the slot to another client and manage our schedule effectively.

We look forward to hearing from you and supporting your horse’s journey.
