Service Description
At RPM Equine, our Laser Therapy utilizes advanced 3B Laser technology to effectively treat soft tissue injuries such as muscle pain and tendon injuries while promoting wound healing. Each appointment begins with a thorough assessment of the treatment site, ensuring a personalized approach. Please note, all sessions require completion of a full veterinary physiotherapy assessment prior to laser treatment to maximize effectiveness.
Cancellation Policy
Class 3B laser therapy is a prescription-based therapeutic modality used to support tissue healing, pain modulation, and rehabilitation. Due to the nature of laser equipment, strict safety and clinical protocols apply. Veterinary Consent Under the Veterinary Surgeons Act (1966), veterinary consent is required prior to commencing laser therapy. Written veterinary consent must be obtained before the first treatment. Treatment will not proceed without confirmation of diagnosis where applicable. We may liaise directly with your veterinary surgeon to ensure appropriate treatment parameters. Suitability & Contraindications Laser therapy will not be applied: Over neoplastic (cancerous) lesions Over the eyes Over the pregnant uterus Over areas of active haemorrhage In cases of undiagnosed acute lameness without veterinary input RPM Equine reserves the right to refuse treatment where contraindications or safety concerns are identified. Safety Requirements Class 3B laser equipment requires strict safety compliance: Only essential personnel may remain in the treatment area. Horses must be appropriately restrained and handled by a competent adult. If a horse presents as unsafe or unable to tolerate treatment, the session may be discontinued. Full fees may still apply. Booking & Cancellation Laser therapy appointments must be booked in advance. Less than 24 hours’ notice or failure to attend will result in the full appointment fee being charged. Late arrival may result in reduced treatment time. Treatment Courses Laser therapy is most effective when delivered as part of a prescribed course of treatment. Prepaid treatment packages are non-refundable and must be used within the agreed timeframe. Liability All laser treatments are delivered in accordance with professional veterinary physiotherapy guidelines and manufacturer safety standards. By booking, clients acknowledge the inherent risks associated with therapeutic laser use and agree to RPM Equine’s full Terms & Conditions.
